Presenting the Gospel of Christ

1. God’s Demand - Heaven is a perfect place “O Lord your eyes are too pure to look on evil, you

cannot tolerate wrong” (Hab 1:13)

"Be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy” (Lev 19:2)

“Without holiness no one will see the Lord” (Heb 12:14b)

*Do you understand God’s demand?

2. Our Dilemma - No one is holy “There is no one righteous, not even one...for all have sinned and fall

short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:10,23)

“All of us have become as one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags” (Isa 64:6)

“For the wages of sin is death...” (Rom 6:23a) *Do you understand our dilemma?

3. God’s Deliverance - Christ is our only hope “...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our

Lord” (Rom 6:23b)

“We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him

the iniquity of us all” (Isa 53:6). - His death for us (pardon for sins)

“Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through

me” (John 14:6). - His life for us (righteousness/obedience) *Do you understand God’s deliverance

for our sins?

4. Our Duty - Believe and be saved -Believe “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and

your household” (Acts 16:31).

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of

God–not by works, so that no one can boast” (Eph 2:8-9). *Do you trust in the person and work of

Christ?

-Repent “He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds

mercy” (Prov 28:13)

“Jesus said, But unless you repent you too will also perish” (Luke 13:3). *Do you repent now of your

sinful life?

-Receive “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become

the children of God” (John 1:12).

“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son

has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:11-12).
